Officials from Shunyi district visit E-town

A delegation led by Chu Junwei, a top official from Shunyi district in Beijing, visited Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area (E-town) on Nov 6, according to local media.
A forum attended by the delegation and representatives and officials from E-town, discussed the development and future direction for Shunyi district, drawing on the experience of E-town.
Constructed in 1992, E-town was approved by the State Council as the only national economic technological development area in Beijing on August 25, 1994.
"Beijing E-town" has become a high-end tech hub with international influence following more than 20 years of growth, with Fortune 500 companies and world-renowned multinational corporations flocking there.
Now E-town boasts seven innovation research institutes and 40 innovation platforms, and Beijing Venture Capital Investment Service Alliance (BVCISA) was set up in the district to facilitate innovation.
