BDA-based company sets up research institute in Europe

Artificial Intelligence Technology Center (AITC), a BDA-based tech company focused on the research and development of artificial intelligence (AI), set up a research institute in Europe on April 11 to boost development in the field of AI, according to local media.
A technology transfer agreement was signed by AITC and the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI) on the same day.
AITC, one of BDA’s leading forces in spurring AI development, has been seeking partnerships with top AI research institutes.
The company has reached agreements with top tech-based companies and institutes from both China and Germany in the AI industry to promote the widest possible application of AI products.
Based in Germany, DFKI is a leading research institute with expertise in the research and development (R&D) of AI. It is among the world's most recognized centers of excellence and the world’s largest AI research center in terms of number of employees and external funding.
DFKI also boasts some of the world’s leading professionals, including Wolfgang Wahlster, who is one of the initiators of Industry 4.0 and German Chancellor Angela Merkel's lead advisor on science and technology matters.
