Work on the Tram Line T1 in the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area (BDA) is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2018, according to local media.

Despite modern transportation including private cars and company shuttle buses, commuters in the BDA will soon be able to travel by tram.

There will be a total of 14 stops along the way connecting the five main areas of the BDA: Lunan area, Hexi area, Ludong area, railway station area and Hexin area –– the main area.

Passengers can transfer to the Beijing Subway Yizhuang Line at the Rongchang Dongjie stop.

The development area plans to have four tram lines in total.
