JD, one of the leading e-commerce operators in China, is to cooperate with Jinjiang city, Fujian province in areas including intelligent logistics, cloud computing, big data and cross-border e-commerce, with a strategic cooperation agreement signed between the two.

According to the business department of Jinjiang, the agreement will compel logistics companies in Jinjiang to undergo a comprehensive modernization process, effectively reduce logistics costs, and enhance overall product competitiveness with the help of JD’s advanced smart logistics system and JD’s practices in new retail sectors like unbounded retail.

Also, JD will facilitate Jinjiang in developing an e-commerce industry eco-cluster area, providing innovation services for the city such as industrial innovation incubation, production empowerment, smart supply chains, and brand marketing.
