Some 1,400 students from 95 primary and secondary schools in Beijing participated in an orienteering championship which opened in Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area (BDA), on Oct 21, according to local media.

Orienteering is an outdoor recreational sport as well as a competitive sport. During the competition, the young attendees worked together and relied on maps and compasses to find hidden “treasure”.
