In the first half of this year, Liangjiang reinforced food and drug safety supervision in its markets to construct a clean and healthy environment in the area, according to the Liangjiang administrative committee.

Liangjiang New Area has carried out a special program in the last few months to ensure a high standard of food safety is being observed. In terms of drug safety control, Liangjiang has put the focus on medical apparatus and instruments. Regular and random quality checks have been carried out in the area to ensure the quality and safety of the area's drugs. At the same time, Liangjiang has also strengthened the supervision of the production and sales process of drugs.

The Liangjiang market and quality supervision bureau opened in June to provide the functions of business administrative management, quality supervision and food and drug safety control.
