Chongqing's Liangjiang New Area has promoted the industrial application of 3D printing technology in recent years, according to the Liangjiang administrative committee.

Chongqing Saila Leili Science and Technology Ltd, a 3D printing company based in Liangjiang, has been applying research to its technological developments since its establishment.

Chongqing Institute of Green and Intelligent Technology of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) is a local research center providing technical support to promote the area's robotics industry. According to a senior staff member from the institute, Chongqing Institute of Green and Intelligent Technology of CAS has been working on the theoretical research and development of 3D printing technology.

According to Duan Xuanming, director of the 3D Printing Research Center at the Chongqing Institute of Green and Intelligent Technology of CAS, the 3D printing robots developed by the center can be applied in various settings, such as the production of architectural models and in science education.

"Compared with the traditional education mode, 3D printing robots can help kids to build their own creations," said Duan.
