Liangjiang New Area is to hold the regional 3rd China Youth Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition on July 1.

The contest will be administered by China Communist Youth League Chongqing Committee and the new area’s management committee.

Participants will compete in four groups of commerce and industry, modern agriculture and rural e-commerce, the Internet and apps.

The commerce and industry group will focus on environmental protection, new generation information technology and new energy. The second group’s competitors will mainly compete in fields of agricultural product processing and agricultural socialized service. The third group will involve contests in basic online services and the Internet’s application in improving traditional industries. The apps race will include mobile Internet technology and application development projects.

The competition will proceed in three steps: application and first review, roadshow final assessment and conclusion and awarding ceremony.

The winners of the first, second, third prizes and other awards will gain startup capital and financing and enjoy preferential policies and other public benefits.

Some of the winners will also be recommended to participate in the national competition’s final.

Applicants must be either individuals under 35 or in teams of fewer than five members. A team’s leader must be under 35 while its other members must be under 40.
