E-commerce companies in Chongqing hoped to capitalize on the recent success of China’s annual online shopping frenzy on Nov 11 by hosting a shopping expo from Nov 24 to 26.

The 2016 China (Chongqing) E-commerce Experience Consumption Festival was held in the municipality’s Liangjiang New Area and hosted a range of B2B, B2C and C2C e-commerce companies hoping to showcase their products and services to a wider market.

With the theme of “E-commerce changes lives,” the festival covered an exhibition area of 1,000 square meters and was divided into four sections to accommodate cross-border commodities and special local products, and an intelligent experience and third-party services area. A total of 34 exhibition booths were on display.

More than 50 companies, including local e-commerce companies and well-known third-party payment platform providers such as Alibaba, JD, Suning and Didi took part in the festival.
