The 2017 Chongqing Industry and Internet Summit took place on Jan 12, looking at ways of integrating the internet industry and the social economy.
Held at the Auwi Hotel in Chongqing Liangjiang New Area, the event was attended by more than 500 industry experts, government officials, and business leaders who took part in a summit and two sub-forums.

As well as the integration of internet and social economy, other topics discussed included the development of intelligent manufacturing, artificial intelligence and sharing economy.
The Chongqing Municipal Government has strongly pushed the city’s development of big data and cloud computing industries, with favorable policies rolled out to attract companies, according to Zhang Yi, assistant director of Chongqing’s Municipal Commission of Economy and Information Technology.
A recent big data report, commissioned by the government, helped to reveal the latest trends in social welfare and living standards across the municipality. The study was jointly carried out by Chongqing Information Industry Investment Promotion Center, Chongqing Cloud Computing Industry Association, and Chongqing Zeno Data.
Chongqing’s top 10 cloud computing companies were awarded during the summit, with Chongqing Langchao Cloud Computing Industry Co Ltd from Liangjiang New Area taking best honors.

Under the guidance of Chongqing’s Municipal Commission of Economy and Information Technology, this year’s summit was co-hosted by China Cloud Computing Technology and Industry Alliance, China Electronic Commerce Association (Internet Branch), and Chongqing Information Industry Investment Promotion Center.
