Chongqing Intelligent Logistics Public Information Platform officially launched on Feb 27, integrating the logistics industry, freight transportation, industrial parks, manufacturinge industry, and finance industry together in Chongqing.

Since 2014, Chongqing Municipal Transportation Group has set about to building the an online information platform in order to realize automatedic operations and efficient management during the whole process of cargo transportation.

The platform can serve in three areas: logistics business, e-government affairs and value-added services through modern high-techtechnology, including the Internet of Things (IoT), big data and mobile internet technology.

An intelligent multimodal transport system will be set established through the platform, and digital urban logistics and visible management ofn supply chains can also be applied to boost the logistics industry in Chongqing.

Experts predicted that the intelligent logistics platform couldan cut down at least 10 percent of logistics costs for companies, and the empty-loading ratio of freight trucks will could decrease by 20 to 30 percent.
