Industrial Development in Liangjiang New Area: Lianglu-Cuntan Tariff Bonded Area

Updated: 2017-03-31

By Sun Hui, chinadaily.com.cn

Many large domestic companies and projects have settled in the zone, including NetEase, Minsheng, Vip.com, Acer and Compal Electronics. China’s largest freeze-dried coffee production project was launched at the zone on Nov 20, 2016, which involves the construction of a processing plant. The plant is expected to be completed in 2018, and produce 10,000 tons of freeze-dried coffee, 2,000 tons of liquid coffee concentrate and 3,000 tons of roasted coffee beans per year.

China has implemented many preferential policies to speed up investment in the area and to attract domestic and foreign enterprises, as well as to facilitate the development of an open economy in Chongqing and western China. Policies ranging from import and export tax and regulatory policy, entry-exit inspection and quarantine policy to foreign exchange policy have come into force.
