Pop singer Kelly Chen opened her six-day "Love Fighters" concert series on Friday at the Hong Kong Stadium, where she will be the final performer onstage before the venue's upcoming facelift.

Chen stunned the audience with her energetic moves and about a dozen of dazzling outfits, local media reported.

The concert was Chen's fifth solo performance at the stadium. Her last concert was at the end of 2004.

"I hope I can invite the audience to trample down the stage together when the last concert ends," Chen joked during an interview before the show.

After Chen's concert series, local authorities will close the stadium for renovation. It is scheduled to reopen in early 2009.

Opened in 1983, the 12,500-seat stadium is the largest outdoor entertainment venue in Hong Kong and has hosted performance by almost all of the most popular local and visiting singers.
