Nicole Kidman fears sun

Nicole Kidman is "strange" and scared of the sun.

'Slumdog Millionaire' actress Rubina Ali starred with Nicole - famed for her red hair and pale skin - in a soft drinks commercial and despite sharing a trailer, the nine year old didn't get to know Nicole very well.

She wrote in her autobiography 'Slumgirl Dreaming: My Journey To The Stars': "I really liked her, but she was very quiet and didn't speak much. I think she was a bit shy."

She then goes on to describe the actress as "strange" because she refused to leave her trailer for the duration of the shoot as she was afraid of the effect the sun may have on her complexion.

Rubina is the youngest person ever to pen an autobiography, amid claims she was forced into it by her family.

Journalist Divya Dugar, the book's ghost writer, said: "She knows a lot more about the world beyond the slum. She has seen what life is like for the rich. She has seen the other side of the picture and knows now that life can be better.

"She has a blind faith in her family, she thinks they couldn't have done anything to harm her."

Rubina's father Rafiq recently denied claims he had tried to cash in on his daughter's fame by 'selling' her for £200,000.

The young star - who is now living with her uncle after her home was demolished - has revealed she has no idea where her fee for the film has gone but it is believed much of it funded her dad's treatment for a broken ankle.

She said: "I'm not sure I got all of it, or where it has all gone."
