From Yang Xiaowen, Lijiang, Yunnan province.

I was grown up in Lijiang and now is an associate professor teaching Chinese literature in Yunnan University. I love this land for its ethnic diversities with 25 of China's 56 ethnic groups assembling here.

And also I feel proud of its natural scenes of blue skies, fresh air, green mountains and clear water. Thanks to livable temperature and climate, Yunnan is also a kingdom of flora.

Can you find an elephant among the rocks? :-) This photo, taken in August 2014, shows the natural landscapes, Shilin (Rock Forest). Covering an area of 400 sq km, this geological park of typical karst formation is home to stone masterpieces in the shape of animals, plants, swords and even humans.[Photo by Yang Xiaowen / provided to chinadaily.com.cn]
