From Chen Xia, Greece in the eyes of a Chinese woman.

I am from China but have thought of Greece as my second home since a visit in 2011.

It was not until I saw the ruined temples at the Acropolis in Athens that I understood the true meaning of "the incomplete being the most beautiful". Those wrecked buildings lent wings of imagination that helped me see the infinite possibilities of this universe.

On the island of Santorini, I see nothing but two colors - a wonderland in blue and white. What an enjoyable life without the hustle and bustle of crowded cities but with sunlight, sea waves, fleecy clouds and blue sky.

The Parthenon stands as the centerpiece of the Acropolis of Athens. Dedicated to the goddess Athena, it is the most important monument of the ancient Greek civilization. The temple is built in the Doric order and almost exclusively of Pentelic marble. [Photo by Chen Xia / Provided to chinadaily.com.cn]
