DPRK suspended for violent conduct (CRIENGLISH.com) Updated: 2006-07-28 15:31 Three DPR Korea players have been suspended for
the AFC Women's Asian Cup 2006 third-fourth place playoff against Japan on
Sunday, July 30, 2006, for their role in the fracas which ensued here at the
Hindmarsh Stadium after their 1-0 defeat to China in the second semifinal
Thursday night.
Goalkeeper Hye Yong Han was redcarded by Italian referee Anna De Toni for
violent conduct on the pitch and kicking the referee from behind when she (the
referee) was being escorted to the referees¡¯ room.
Son Kyong Sun and Song Jung Sun were suspended for throwing bottles and other
objects at the referees and also at the spectators.
Further disciplinary measures against the three suspended players will be
discussed by the AFC Disciplinary Committee.
