PARIS - World number four Ivan Ljubicic and U.S. Open runner-up Andy Roddick have pulled out of next week's Paris Masters tournament, organisers said on Thursday.

Ljubicic cited a viral illness while Roddick said he was still suffering from an ankle injury suffered last week in Madrid.

The Croat and the American have already secured their places in the season-ending Masters Cup in Shanghai next month.

The world's top three players -- Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and David Nalbandian -- have all entered the Paris Masters.
