Cricket-PCB doping appeals commission adjourned until Sunday(Reuters)Updated: 2006-11-16 14:55 LAHORE, Nov 15 - The commission formed by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to hear the appeals of fast bowlers Shoaib Akhtar and Mohammad Asif against their doping bans has adjourned until November 20. "The proceedings have been adjourned as Shoaib Akhtar's lawyer has asked for some documents related to the case," head of the commission, retired judge Fakhruddin G Ebrahim told reporters on Wednesday. Last month, Shoaib and Asif were recalled from the Champions Trophy in India after testing positive for a banned steroid nandrolone in tests conducted by the PCB before the tournament. Earlier this month, a drugs inquiry tribunal banned Shoaib for two years and Asif for one year after ruling that the players could not convince them the detection of the banned substance in their urine samples was a mistake. The players have denied knowingly using banned substances.
