ACAPULCO, Mexico - Emilie Loit and Flavia Pennetta advanced to the finals of
the Mexico Open on Friday. Loit, seeded 10th and ranked No. 52, defeated Julie
Schruff 0-6, 6-2, 6-1. The fifth-seeded Pennetta ousted Sara Errani 6-2, 6-4.

Loit reached the semifinals of this event
last year, but fell against Ana Lena Groenefeld.
Pennetta, the 2005 champion, will play her fourth final in a row in this
tournament.
The men's final will be decided later, when Argentine Juan Ignacio Chela
faces countryman Agustin Calleri, the 2003 winner. Also Spaniard and top seed
Juan Carlos Ferrero plays Carlos Moya, a two-time winner at this event (2002,
2004) and local favorite.
