Los Angeles Clippers guard Shaun Livingston will have surgery on his devastating injured knee next Tuesday in Alabama and is expected to be sidelined for eight to 12 months.

The 21-year-old, who was a cornerstone of the Clippers organization, suffered the injury in a gruesome fall during the first quarter of a game against Charlotte at the Staples Center on February 26.

An MRI diagnosed tears to Livingston's anterior cruciate ligament, posterior cruciate ligament, medial collateral ligament and lateral meniscus.

Livingston, a third-year point guard, was averaging 9.5 points and 5.2 assists through 53 games this season.
