SHANGHAI - Yang Wei from Hubei province clinched his second gold out of rings here at China's national gymnastic championship on Sunday.

Yang, triple world champion at the Aarhus world championship 2006, scored 16.875 points to share the title with Chen Yibing, from Tianjin, who crowned the "king of rings" at the Aarhus worlds.

Yang won the individual all-around title here two days earlier, who piled up the trio of all-around, parallel bars and team in Aarhus, Denmark.

Chen picked up a routine of 7.3 points in A mark (difficulty) to perform without flaw, earning the same points as Yang in spite of 0.2 points less than Yang in A mark.

"Yang's A mark of 7.5 is the highest worldwide. I have also a routine in the same height, but it's only in the process of training and would probably be presented later in world championship this year," said Chen.

Yang Mingyong from Shanghai was in third place, scoring 16.400 points.

In men's vault, Feng Zhe of Sichuan captured the gold in an average of 16.125 points. One of the routine is 7.0 in A mark, and the other is 6.6.

"I have another action in 7.0, but it's not masterly yet. I need to get skilled on that, so I can have both 7.0 and get competitive in international stage," said Feng.

Du Wei from Guizhou was edged slightly to the second place in 16.112, while Guo Jiahao took the bronze for Beijing in 15.962.

In women's uneven bars, teenager He Kexin, representing Hubei, popped out to top podium in 13.850 points. He Ning, the team winner in Aarhus, snatched the silver for Zhejiang in 13.350. He's teammate Jiang Yuyuan in third with 13.300.

The favorite Li Ya from Anhui made double mistakes to finish in the bottom and is quite likely out of the favor of women's head coach Lu Shanzhen.

Lu was unsatisfied with Li at the Aarhus world championship for her blunders in the same discipline.

Li is expected to strike the gold medal in uneven bars as she was trained a routine of 7.2 points in difficulty, but her mentality is regarded as weak and would probably be quit if she can not prove her stability.
