Japanese Karasu claims China regatta title

Karasu of Japan sails during the China Cup International Regatta Monday at Shenzhen Daya Bay in South China. Karasu was crowned the overall champion of the regatta after a tough battle with Norway's Normar, last year's champion Quantum Racing of Australia and another Japansese yacht Koufu. Normar finished second this year, followed by Koufu and Quantum Racing.

Karasu also won the title in the One Design Class First 40.7 Group.

Chinese Hong Kong's Men At Work won the IRC category, with Microlab of China placing second and Whiskey Jack of Chinese Hong Kong third.

China's top international yachting tournament attracted about 100 yachts from 20 countries and regions, braving rough waves at the Longcheer Yacht Club in Shenzhen Daya Bay.
