Real Madrid has won just one out of five matches since the former Manchester United ace injured his ankle playing a World Cup qualifying game for Portugal.

This week the crisis came to a head with Real Madrid suffering a humiliating 4-0 Kings Cup defeat to third tier side Alcorcon.

The club is missing Ronaldo's ability to create a goal out of nothing, but tests on his ankle this week show he will not be fit to play again until the weekend of November 7 and 8 at the earliest.

Speaking in Sports paper Marca, Ronaldo insisted that he alone was not the solution to Real Madrid's problems.

"The fact is that a team like Real Madrid can't depend on just one or two or three players," he said.

"We have got a great team and I am certain that we are going to improve. I am keen to get back, but I'll only return when I am 100 percent fit both physically and mentally," he added.

Ronaldo insisted that although he has made the difference in several matches to date, even his return was not a guarantee of success.

"The fact that we have won when I have played is one of those things that can happen in football. I am sure that we will also lose game now and then when I am playing."

"We have to improve in all aspects on the pitch and it is not just for the lack of one player that we have had these results," he said, before finishing with an optimistic view of the future.

"The team is going the right way, we are working well and we are all united. I am certain that the wins will arrive soon," predicted Ronaldo.
