LONDON - Marco Fu from Hong Kong suffered first round exit at the Snooker World Championships as the world No 21 was defeated Martin Gould 10-8 at Sheffield on Wednesday.
The 33-year old Fu led the tie 6-3 after the first session on Tuesday but saw his opponent winning five frames in a row in the second session. Fu did struggle to pull two frames back but was not good enough to hold back Gould.

"Judd's become much more of an all-round player. His safety has improved, although I don't think either of us will be playing much safety," said the 29-year-old Gould.
Trump, 21, saw off defending champion Neil Robertson in the first round on Saturday. Earlier this month, he grabbed his first ever ranking title at China Open in Beijing.
Mark Allen came back from 6-9 to edge Matthew Stevens 10-9, setting up a clash with Barry Hawkins, who ousted world No 7 Stephen Maguire.
Mark Selby and John Higgins seem likely to grab the last two places in the second round. Selby leads Jimmy Robertson 8-1 while Higgins is 6-3 ahead of Stephen Lee after the first session.
