NBA star Kobe kicks off Asia tour in Philippines

MANILA - The 5-time NBA Champion Kobe Bryant will have a tight schedule during his one-day stay in Manila, Philippines, on Wednesday.
Kobe arrived in Manila on Tuesday for his third time visit to the Philippines to kick off his 5-city tour dubbed "Take every advantage" through Nike, local media reported.
The 33-year-old NBA star will begin with a press conference at the Peninsula, Manila Hotel at 12 noon before he holds a charity outreach program of Gawad Kalinga at 1:30 pm followed by a short show at Nike Park at 3 pm. He will then be at the Araneta Coliseum at 5 pm and will play with players from Far Eastern University (FEU) Tamaraws, De La Salle University (DLSU) Green Archers, Ateneo de Manila University (AdMU) Blue Eagles and Smart- Gilas Pilipinas.
The climax of his trip will be the much-anticipated basketball show at the Araneta Coliseum, where he will host a basketball clinic to select collegiate basketball players.
Completing his tour in the Philippines, Kobe will head for Seoul, the Republic of Korea, and will visit various Chinese cities before returning home.
