Olympic weightlifting champion banned for doping problem

BEIJING - Beijing Olympic weightlifting champion Liao Hui has been banned by the International Weightlifting Federation (IWF) due to doping problem till Sept 30, 2014.
Liao, 24, winner of the men's 69-kilogram category at the Beijing Olympics, was on the list of competitors suspended released by the IWF on its official website.
Liao, also winner of the event at the 2009 and 2010 World Championships, failed a urine test after the 2010 Antalya Worlds and was banned for four years by the IWF. His gold medal and world record at the 2010 worlds were also deprived.
Along with Liao, another nine weightlifters were suspended by IWF due to doping problems.
