Basketball carnival moves to Guangzhou
The FIBA men's Stankovic Basketball Continental Cup will move to its second station in Guangzhou, capital of Guangdong province, on July 5-9, the organizers said on Wednesday.
China's national team will take the place of its Olympic team to compete with Argentina, Nigeria and Puerto Rico in Guangzhou, where a basketball carnival will also be held on the sidelines of the competition.
NBA stars Manu Ginobili and Luis Scola as well as Chinese stars Yi Jianlian, Wang Zhizhi and Zhu Fangyu will participate in the event. French international star Tony Parker is also set to compete in a slam dunk contest during the carnival.
The competition's first stop in Lanzhou, Gansu province came to an end on Tuesday, with Australia claiming the title.
