FA vows to tackle Camacho contract lawsuit
The Chinese Football Association vowed to spare no effort to deal with the lawsuit brought by Jose Antonio Camacho after the Spanish coach sued the CFA, according to the Beijing Times.
CFA ended its contract with Camacho shortly after the national team lost to Thailand 5-1 in June. Discussions were then launched over compensation. Camacho signed a three-year contract in August 2011.
According to the contract, the Chinese FA has to pay Camacho and his coaching staff their full salary for the remaining 14 months, and the CFA also has to cover all income tax.
However, the Spaniard and his lawyer made an announcement on the Xinhua News Agency that the talks had collapsed, and they will appeal to FIFA and the Court of Arbitration for Sport for assistance.
