BERLIN - The tennis superstar Novak Djokovic was named as Sportsman of the Year and Serena Williams as Sportswoman of the Year at the 17th Laureus World Sports Award ceremony which held in Berlin on Monday evening.
The awards ceremony, hosted by Hollywood actor Bill Murray and attended by legends of sport past and present, celebrated the achievements of the greatest sportsmen and sportswomen of the year 2015. The awards were announced in seven categories.
On an extremely successful evening for the sport of tennis, Djokovic, who won three Grand Slam titles, was honored for the second time in a row and for the third time with the Laureus World Sportsman of the Year.
