Evergrande to set up soccer training base in Shenzhen

Evergrande Football School, China's biggest soccer training and educational school, has signed an agreement with a local youth soccer club to jointly develop a training base in Shenzhen, Guangdong province.

The planned academy will be the first of its kind affiliated with the school, which was jointly launched by Chinese Super League champion Guangzhou Evergrande and Spanish La Liga giant Real Madrid in 2012.

According to Liu Jiangmen, president of Evergrande Football School, more such training bases would be established in the near future.

"The bases are designed to integrate Evergrande's professional practices with wide public soccer training facilities, helping benefit more children who have huge interests in soccer," said Liu.

Children performing excellent will be selected to receive academic education and professional training in the Evergrande Football School, according to Liu.

"They will be trained on the basis of world's advanced soccer philosophy, which will of great help to China's soccer development," said Liu.

According to Liu, the school will arrange Chinese coaches to the base and organize a series of soccer events to facilitate trainings in the bases.
