Australia claims women's single sculls gold; China takes bronze

RIO DE JANEIRO -- Kimberley Brennan from Australia claimed a gold medal in the women's single sculls in 7 minutes and 21.54 seconds in the rowing regatta of the 2016 Olympics Games here on Saturday.

Genevra Stone from the United States and Duan Jingli from China took silver and bronze, respectively in 7:22.92 and 7:24.13. Duan's bronze is the first Olympic medal for China in this class.
