March 30, 2012: Marbury led the Beijing Ducks to their first CBA championship after stunning seven-time champion Guangdong 4-1 in the final series.
May 13, 2012: A bronze statue, donated by fans, of Marbury was erected outside the Ducks' home court, the Wukesong Arena.
March 31, 2014: Marbury led Beijing to a 4-2 triumph over Xinjiang in the 2013-14 season final series to win a second CBA title for the club after failing to defend its title in the 2012-13 season.
April 2, 2014: Marbury was named an honorary citizen of Beijing and was presented with a golden key to the city by then-mayor Wang Anshun.
March 22, 2015: Inspired by Marbury, Beijing beat Liaoning 4-2 in the 2014-15 final series to successfully defend its CBA championship, becoming the third team to win at least three league titles.
April 18, 2015: An album of postage stamps with Marbury's images printed on them was released in Beijing in honor to his contribution to basketball in the city.
Dec 21, 2015: A museum called Marbury's Home, showcasing photos and personal belongings from the player's life, opened in downtown Beijing.
April 18, 2016: Marbury was granted permanent Chinese residency, becoming the first foreign athlete to earn a 'green card'.
July 1, 2016: Shooting finished on My Other Home, a movie depicting Marbury's career rejuvenation from the NBA to CBA. The film is expected to premiere in August.
