Traffic controls for rehearsal July 23 Saturday

Traffic controls will be imposed on selected roads from 5:25 pm to 7 pm. July 23 during a drill for the opening ceremony of the Universiade at Shenzhen Bay Sports Center in Nanshan District.

Between 5:25 pm and 5:58 pm, traffic restrictions will apply to roads bordered by Hongmian Road in the south, Longxiang Boulevard in the north, Huangge Road in the east and the Universiade village in the west, a press conference was told July 21.

Between 5:35 pm and 6:05 pm, restrictions will apply to downtown-bound lanes on the Shuiguan Expressway. Between 5:45 pm and 6:20 pm, restrictions will apply to the section from Shuiguan exit to Xili exit on the Nanping Expressway.

Between 6 pm and 6:25 pm, restrictions will be imposed on Liuxian Boulevard. Restrictions will also apply to south-bound lanes on Shahe West Road between 6 pm and 6:30 pm.

The drill will last from 9:30 a. to 11 pm, involving 20,000 people and 500 vehicles. It consists of transporting athletes from the Universiade village to the sports center and a performance rehearsal for the opening ceremony.
