On the afternoon of July 21st, the Shenzhen 26th Summer Universiade Reception Motivational Meeting was held at Civic Center. Zhang Wen, Deputy mayor of Shenzhen, deputy chief director of the Universiade headquarters and executive director of the domestic guests invitation and reception headquarters Luo Li attended the meeting and spoke.

Luo Li first introduced the composition of the reception staff, the hotel arrangements, relevant personnel in charge and arrangements of staff activity in Shenzhen, etc. She emphasized, because the Universiade is a grand gathering for college students, principals from 105 colleges and universities were invited to watch the competitions in Shenzhen, to promote exchange of academics and culture. She stated that the reception of domestic guests should also achieve "Start here, make a difference", and reiterated the concept of hosting a thrifty Universiade and controlling expenditures.

Zhang Wen made a few requests. He said, the reception work for this Universiade has special features like a large scale, high standards, highly-ranked guests, many reception procedures and a large number of departments involved. Therefore, the reception staff must be "unified", "coordinated" and "efficient", to ensure that the tasks are accomplished in an orderly manner, without disturbances. At the same time, he emphasized that the Universiade is the best opportunity to display the image of Shenzhen to the rest of the world, and the reception staff should act as promoters of Shenzhen, grasping more basic knowledge of Shenzhen while ensuring their own safety.

Reception staff representatives and volunteer representatives also said that they would "work with passion and serve with love", and display the concept of "Make a Difference" to the world.
