During the Universiade, the Shenzhen Border Protection will reserve "U" passages for distinguished guests at ports. Four passages will be opened respectively at Huang Gang Port and Shenzhen Bay Port, another two at the Airport Entry Port. The "U" passages named after the Shenzhen Universiade emblem "Happy U" will be available for use from July 26th.

According to Shenzhen Border Protection, the Border wait times for over 95% of travelers will not exceed 25 minutes under normal circumstances. While with "U" passages, the wait times will speed up and be kept under 20 minutes. A team comprised of bilingual police will be set up to solve communication problems at Shenzhen ports.

About Shenzhen

Shenzhen is located at the southern tip of the Chinese mainland on the eastern bank of the mouth of the Pearl River and neighbors Hong Kong.

The brainchild of Deng Xiaoping, the country's first special economic zone was established here by the Chinese Government in 1980. It has been a touchstone for China's reform and opening-up policy since then.
