Thirteen lanes will be set aside specially for the use of the Universiade from Aug 4, deputy head of the Shenzhen traffic police station said in a news conference on Sunday, the Shenzhen Special Zone Daily reported Monday.

Used exclusively by athletes, games staff members and reporters covering the games, the 13 lanes will be marked with dashes of yellow and white. Traffic screens and the Universiade logos on the road will also remind people about the special lanes. Motorists who drive on these lanes from 7 am to 8 pm without accreditation will be fined 300 yuan ($47).
