Telecom Operators provide multi-language hot-lines

During Universiade, Chinese telecom operators like China Telecom, China Mobile and China Unicom are expected to launch multi-language service hot-lines for the convenience of people coming to Shenzhen. On 27 July, it is reported that five specialized service groups will be set up to provide the world first-class communication services.

According to the Shenzhen Communications Administration, telecommunications industry in the city has been carrying out English learning activities, and will make every effort for the success of the Universiade and the promote of the city’s image.

During the games, multi-language service hot-lines will be provided by the telecom operators including China Telecom, China Unicom and China Mobile. To be noticed that China Unicom will mobilize considerable manpower and materials to ensure a considerate international roaming service for foreign guests who can enjoy 3G services without changing SIM card or mobile number.

China Telecom has already launched a free WIFI network over the city, and citizens and athletes can have access to information of the city and the games with the establishment of 170 information inquiry terminals and 10 internet IPV6 display terminals at Universiade venues. The most-advanced TD-LTE (4G) network has covered most Universiade venues and several highly-populated areas of the city to provide such special services as the instant filming-instant uploading and the online HD video.
