Universiade tickets are priced from 30-300 yuan, with 80 percent of them below 100 yuan, said Wang Mei, the Games spokeswoman at a press conference Wednesday August 3.

"We do not pursue the sales but encourage more involvement of the citizens in the Universiade," Wang added.

There are still plenty of tickets for all 23 sports events, but tickets for some popular competitions including basketball, diving and fencing finals have been sold out, according to Wang Zhi, director of the Games Tickets Centre.

Tickets can not be refunded or transferred if an event is postponed. However, if an event is canceled, ticketholders will be entitled to refunds 90 days after the Games close.
