The basket backpackers in Enshi Grand Canyon scenic area in Central China's Hubei province could be a best example of how humans can add more color to the natural wonder.
As many parents take their children to that scenic area during the vacations, some locals have invented a new business of carrying the child tourists in their back baskets through the steep mountains.
There are 34 basket carriers in total, most of whom are women. They charge 320 yuan ($48) for a whole trip of four mountains. Children under 10 and weighing less 30 kg are carried by women and children over 40 kg by men. They can on average make 2,000 to 3,000 yuan per month.
All of them are employed by a company set up in 2015.
