A fairytale moment

What's on: Shanghai

Germany's Consol Theater will present a play adapted from the fairytale Red, Red Shoes, by Hans Christian Andersen. The heroine, Franvera, is a lighthearted and carefree child, who dreams of becoming a dancer.

One day, she gets a special gift from her parents - red dancing shoes.

She doesn't notice the clouds of war gathering around her as she single-mindedly pursues her dream. But she realizes something is afoot when her parents whisper to her that she can no longer play with her best friend, Anna.
