Street festival

The Cologne Carnival, one of the biggest street parties in Europe, will begin its celebration at 11:11 am on Nov 11. The famous Altstadt (old town) is transformed into a dazzling and colorful pageant, with the entire population in fancy dress. Cologne is said to be "the most Mediterranean" city in Germany.
