5. One-Thousand-Household Miao Village. This photo taken in May 15, 2006 shows minority Miao-style houses built tier upon tier on the hillside of Xijiang, 36 kilometers Northeast of Leishan county in Southwest China's Guizhou province. Known as a historical cultural ancient town, the village cluster is the largest Miao village in China with more than 10 natural villages and about 1,200 families, hence the name "one-thousand-Household Miao village". Visitors can interact with locals with Miao dances and craft making to better understand their culture. [Photo/IC]
