NuclearKitty: The club, China’s first all-female running club, was founded at the beginning of this year. Their name shows they are normally like cute kittens, but become “nuclear powered” when running. This club has high expectations of its members. They hold practice every week and often participate in group runs and slow long-distance training. Dedicated members participate in competitions throughout the country.

KiteRunners: Established in February, their motto is: everyone has a kite in their heart; no matter what yours symbolizes, you must bravely follow it. This club does not have any requirements and accepts all participants, from those trying to improve their health to those training for marathons. KiteRunners regularly organizes group runs through online communication and participates in competitions as a group.

Crazy碧池: Formed in the fall last year, this running club has around 100 people and nearly 10 designated areas around Shanghai where they have weekly morning and evening runs. They require their male members to run a monthly total of 80 km, and female members to run 50 km, as well as participation in at least one competition every six months.
