The Universal Tourism Exhibition (UTE) 2014 concluded last week in Beijing, with participating agents and representatives representing more than 50 countries.
The exhibition featured around 200 foreign tourism exhibitors, including associations, travel agents, hotels, resorts and cruises. This exhibition received 1,100 visitors in Guangzhou on Nov 18, and 1,400 buyers in Beijing on Nov 20, 2014.
As the biggest outbound tourism exhibition in China, UTE continued to uphold the professional and international characteristics for Chinese outbound travel agencies and foreign travel agencies, hotels, resorts, and cruises as a B2B platform.
There are almost 100 million Chinese tourists today, which enables China to be the world’s largest tourist market. Meanwhile, China has the most powerful purchasing power, with a national expenditure of $102 billion more than the United States and Germany.
Based on the outbound tourist sector projection, the Chinese tourist market is expanding. The figure from the UTE 2014 also indicated very good prospects of business opportunities in the Chinese tourist industry.
