The South Africa Tourist Board and Top Travel Magazine co-hosted a tour experience sharing event recently in Beijing. Chinese actor Ren Zhong and a young couple, Zhao Cai and Yu Boya, who won a honeymoon trip to South Africa shared their travel stories in the country.
"All itineraries are perfect and out of my expectations. We enjoyed the magnificent scenery and delicious local food, and we saw many wild animals. We'd like to visit it again," Zhao said.
At the end of September, the couple was selected as the lucky couple to enjoy a free honeymoon trip to South Africa, because their self-made video that shows their longing to visit the country stood out among other newlyweds.
The tourist board and the magazine arranged a team to offer diversified services such as photographing for the couple, and invited Ren to be witness at their wedding ceremony in South Africa.
Ren said he loved the famous wines of South Africa. He was impressed with the three-day luxury train tour on the Rovos Rail, noting that travelers could get off the train to see the local scenery when the train stopped.
Bradley Brouwer, president of the Asia-Pacific area of the board, notes that 2014 is the Year of South Africa in China, and he expects more Chinese tourists to visit the country and come back with indelible memories of the land.
