Beijing luxury shopping mall Galeries Lafayette Beijing has recently announced to enact the new tax rebate policy that allows foreign tourists to get a 11 percent refund on their purchase on consumer goods.

The policy was first launched in Beijing and Shanghai in July and is expected to expand to other cities. The policy aims to encourage tourism and shopping in the cities.

So far, more than 60 stores in Beijing, most of which are time-honored Chinese brands, are qualified for the policy. Galeries Lafayette Beijing is one of the first foreign-invested companies to be designated.

Galeries Lafayette Beijing is known for its unique brand portfolio that includes both major luxury brands and local designer brands like Chictopia, Chi Zhang, Chris by Christopher Bu, Fiona Chen, Helen Lee, Ma by Masha Ma and Vega Zaishi Wang.
