Fujian Tourism Bureau recently held a promotional event in Beijing to attract more visitors.

The Beijing-Fuzhou High-speed Railway that was unveiled this summer makes it convenient to visit Fuzhou. The journey takes about eight hours.

The high-speed line connects Beijing with picturesque destinations in southern China such as the Wuyi Mountains in Fujian province, the Huangshan Mountains in Anhui province and Wuyuan county in Jiangxi province.

Zou Weinan, deputy director of the Beijing Municipal Commission of Tourism, said that the line would make Fujian become more popular among travelers from Beijing.

He hoped that there would be more tour products for Fujian and increased cooperation between Beijing and Fujian in the tourism sector.

Chen Yihui, deputy director of the Fujian Tourism Bureau, said that visitors from Beijing could enjoy a comfortable trip on high-speed trains to Fujian province and also visit Taiwan from the province.
