Spring flower power draws visitors to Wuyuan

The county of Wuyuan in Jiangxi province attracts tourists from around the country for the blooming rapeseed in spring, and a variety of cultural and natural spots.

This legacy may reincarnate since a new high-speed rail connecting Jiangxi's Jiujiang to Zhejiang province's Quzhou is expected to be completed next year.

Marketing campaigns have already been staged in areas the line crosses, Wang says.

The hope of easier access and diversified offerings will help Wuyuan bloom as a tourism destination where springtime tourists are drawn to blossoms and to bud as a destination in other seasons.
