Xidi Cofee Street enhances locals' fashionable lifestyles

Xidi Cofee Street, along the west bank of Yundang Lake, has dozens of Western-style villa cafes and restaurants.

The street is a haven for cofee lovers, local and foreign alike, to sip, chat and forget the stresses of urban living.

When night falls, the cafes along Yundang Road turn on their neon lights, providing a glow to perfectly illuminate one of the trendiest places in Xiamen.

A unique cofee culture along the bank of Yundang Lake has gradually formed, turning an area with previously low visitor flow into a prosperous economic circle.

Authorities have enhanced the infrastructure and environment of the street, including repairing the wooden path, installing streetlights, designating parking spaces and implementing a greening project.

The flourishing Xidi Cofee Street has boosted the development of the surrounding area, with wine cellars, upscale clothing stores, beauty salons, tea houses and restaurants springing up in all directions.

Nearby, Guanren commercial circle features cafes, bars, supermarkets and international hotels. The 380-meter-long cofee street has 14 cafes and the 240-meter-long bar street boasts 25 bars.

A special fund has been set up to enhance the infrastructure and environment of the commercial circle. The local government and Guanren Commercial Association worked together to create a 3-D map of the area.
